    • Online Obituary - Paula Bennett Jescavage, 52, of Kells Way, Ashley, lost her battle with cancer on Monday. She was born on Oct. 11, 1952, in Wilkes-Barre, daughter of Helen Kennedy Bennett of Wilkes-Barre and the late Thaddeus Lewis Jescavage. Ms. Jescavage was an assistant in the interlibrary loan department of New York University for many years, before returning to the area to care for her mother. Prior to her illness, she was a circulation assistant in the D. Leonard Corgan Library at King's College. She was an outgoing and friendly animal and garden lover who enjoyed reading and outdoor life. Surviving, in addition to her mother, are sisters, Karen Bernard, Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y.; Janet Del Rosario, Marlboro, N.Y.; brother, James Jescavage, Mountainside Manor. Private funeral services will be held in Hollenback Cemetery at the convenience of the family. At Paula's request, there will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the SPCA of Luzerne County, 524 E. Main St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702-6911. Arrangements are by McLaughlin Family Funeral Service.
