    • Newpaper Obituary - Tuesday, July 25, 2000 -Times Leader - George Crouse - July 23, 2000 - George M. Crouse, 88, of Robert Street, Sheatown section of Newport Township, died Sunday at Mercy Special Care Hospital, Nanticoke. Born July 17, 1912, in the Wanamie section of Newport Township, he was the son of the late Charles and Mary Ann (Rule) Crouse. He worked for the Glen Alden Coal Co. and Blue Coal Corp. and was a member of the Nanticoke Primitive Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Thelma Eckrote. Surviving are his son, George, Sheatown; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday from the Earl W. Lohman Funeral Home, 14 W. Green St., Nanticoke, with the Rev. Kyle Gildner officiating. Interment will be in Slocum Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
