    • Online Obituary - John F. HODGE - John F. Hodge, age 72, of Forward Township, Pennsylvania formerly of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, died Wednesday, April 30, 2014. He was born, February 26, 1942 in the Coal Valley area of Jefferson Hills, one of ten children of David and Anna Mae (Kennedy) Hodge. John was retired from US Steel’s Irvin Works in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 of his siblings, Anna Mae Core, David, Clyde and Gwendolyn Hodge. He is survived by his wife, Sheila (Conlon) Hodge; three children, Maureen (the late Richard) Severns, Deanna Hodge and John (Michele) Hodge; five grandchildren, Daniel, Melissa and Matthew Severns, Brady and Aidan Hodge and five siblings, Ruth Smitley, Margaret Schwarz, Mary Jane McCorkle, Robert Hodge and Alice Bucy. Friends will be received from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 PM on Sunday, May 4, 2014 in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 (Large) in Jefferson Hills, where his funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 AM. Pastor Jody Dausey will be officiating. Burial will be in the Lebanon Church Cemetery in West Mifflin.
