- Newspaper Obituary - November 19, 1986 Times Leader - Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania - Frederick Forve - Frederick F. Forve, 85, of 37 Mallery Place, Wilkes-Barre, died Monday evening, Nov. 17, 1986 in Hampton House in Hanover Township where he had been a guest for the past two months. A life long residen of Wilkes-Barre, May 10, 1901, he was a son of the late Peter and Amelia Bachaus Forve. He was a graduate of St. Mary's High School, Wilkes-Brare and a graduate of Holy Cross College, Worcester, Mass. Prior to his retirement, he was owner and operator of Peter Forve Plumbing Co., Wilkes-Barre, for 40 years and also formerly served as plumbing inspector for the city of Wilkes-Barre. He was a member of St. Nicholas Church, Wilkes-Barre and its Holy Name Society. Mr. Forve was also a member of the Plumbers Union Local 90. He was preceeded in death by his wife the former Gertrude Hartman, 1971, son John Martin in 1939; brothers, Rev. George T., former pastor of Sacred Heart Church, Luzurne; Peter, Carl and Louis; sisters, Marie Leighton and Regina Gallagher. Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Charles (Helen) Keim, Wilkes-Barre; Mrs. Edward (Gertrude) Girman, Wilkes-Barre; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Mrs. John (Hildegarde) Schuyler, Wilimington, Del. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 10 a.m. from the McLaughlin Funeral Home, 142 S. Washington St., Wilkes-Barre with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 in St. Nicholas Church. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call Thursday from 9 a.m. until time of services.
