    • Newspaper Obituary - Friday, December 3, 1976 Wilkes-Barre Times Leader Evening News - Mrs. Edna Cotton - Miss Edna Cotton, 88, of 186 S. Grant St., died Thursday afternoon in Smith Nursing Home, Mountaintop, where she was a guest three years. Born Apr. 4, 1888, she was a life resident of Wilkes-Barre and formerly was employed many years as an executive secretary by the former Wilkes-Barre Wire Rope Company. She was a past officer of the Mozart Club and the Wilkes-Barre Garden Club. Miss Cotton was secretary of the board of Community Concerts Association for many years and was active in a number of church choirs as a soprano soloist. She was a member of Grant Street Presbyterian Church. Funerals will be Monday at 2 from Harold C. Snowdon Funeral Home, 64 N. Franklin St., with Rev. Stephen E. Weightman, pastor of Grant Street Presbyterian Church, offiiciating. Interment in Hollenback Cemetery. Friend may call Monday from 1 p.m.
