    • Newspaper Obituary - July 12, 1998 Times Leader - Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania - Thomas Kinney - July 11, 1988 - Thomas J. Kinney, 69, of Kingston died Saturday at his home. Born in Larksville, he was the son of the former Helen Halford Kinney and the late Thomas J. Kinney Sr. He was a graduate of Kingston High School. He worked in the newspaper business for more than 40 years, retiring in 1997 from the Citizens' Voice. He was a past Secretary/Treasurer of the International Typographical Union 187. He was a member of St. Ignatius Church, Kingston, and a member of the Lehman Golf Club. He and his wife, the former Elizabeth Kozokas, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversity on Jan. 11. Surviving, in addition to his mother and wife, are sons, Michael, Shavertown, Kingston Township; Patrick, Houston; daughters, Mrs. Maureen Dougherty, Memphis, Tenn.; Diane Kinney, Abbottstown; brother, Robert, Southgate, Mich.; and six grandchildren. A memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Ignatius Church, Kingston, with Monsignor Neil Van Loon officiating. There will be no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to the International Myeloma Foundation, 2129 Stanley Hills Drive, Los Angeles, Calif., 90046. Arrangements are by the Corcoran Funeral Home, Plains Township.
