    • Newspaper Obituary - Monday, February 20, 1939 Tribune - Scranton, Pennsylvania - Mrs. Rose Colvin, 72, Dies in Staten Island - Mrs. Rose Colvin, 72, formerly of Scranton, died at 8 o'clock yesterday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Thomas Harris, Grasmere, Staten Island, N.Y., after a long illness. She was born in Bloomsburg, and lived in Scranton for many years before going to Staten Island about 17 years ago. She formerly was a member of the Providence M. E. Church. Surviving are a son, Cortez J. Colvin, this city, and her daughter, Mrs. Harris, and two grand-children. The body is to be brought to Scranton at a time to be announced. Interment, Dunmore Cemetery.
