    • Newspaper Obituary - Monday, January 15, 1996 York Daily Record - Pennsylvania - Harry K. Search, 77, of Springettsbury Township, died at 5 a.m. Saturday at Manor Care Kingston Court. He was the husband of Margaret C. "Peg" (Derby). The service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 311 Haines Road, York. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, with military honors by York County Veterans Honor Guard. Viewing will be 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, with Masonic services at 8:45 p.m., at the Etzweiler Funeral Home, 1111 E. Market St., York. Mr. Search was born Aug. 7, 1918, in Wilkes-Barre. He was the son of the late Stella L. (Sprake) and Harry K. Search Sr. He was superintendent of Pennsylvania Power and Light Co.'s Brunner Island Power Plant in York Haven, retiring in 1983 after 38 years of service. He was a 1936 graduate of Elmer L. Meyers High School and a 1943 graduate of Penn State. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he served in the European Theater. He was a member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church, Pi Tau Sigma Fraternity, Sigma Tau Fraternity, Scabbard and Blade Fraternity, Springetts Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5865 of York, York Forest 30 Tall Cedars of Lebanon and a 50-year member of Lodge 61 Free and Accepted Masons of Wilkes-Barre. Mr. Search also is survived by two sons, Harry T. Search of Falls Church, Va., and John R. Search of Richmond, Va.; five grandchildren; and a sister, Cordelia H. Flickinger of Mountain Top, Luzerne County. Officiating at the service will be his pastors, the Rev. George R. Taylor and the Rev. Bruce E. Cadenhead. Memorial contributions may be made to Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 311 Haines Road, York 17402; or to American Heart Association, 2997 Cape Horn Road, Red Lion 17356. 1-13-96.
