    • Demperio, Donald E. - October 8, 2005 Donald E. Demperio, age 70, of Syracuse, passed away on Saturday at the VA Medical Center. He was a resident of Vivian Teal Howard Nursing Home. Mr. Demperio was born in the Town of Onondaga, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Dem-perio. He was a graduate of Solvay High School and served in the Army during the Koren War. He retired from the Syracuse City School District. He was a member of DAV and he enjoyed and loved everyone at the VA Hospital. Most of all he was a proud and devoted father, grandfather and friend to many. "THE DIPPER" is survived by his two sons and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey Demperio of Jamesville and Christopher and Marie Demperio of Solvay; one brother, Thomas Demperio of Seminole, FL; two sisters, Joan Carrol of Pinnellis Park, FL, and Sandy Conchas of Phoenix, OR; granddaughter, Elizabeth Bullard (Jeffrey's daughter); grandchildren and Godchildren, Sonia, Maria, AJ, and (best buddy) Brandon (Christopher and Marie's children); many cousins, nephews and nieces. A Memorial Service and burial will be held Monday, 10 a.m. at Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 4069 Howlett Hill Road, Syracuse with Reverend Jeanne Moore officiating.
