    • Newspaper Article - August 12, 1909 Sandy Creek News - Meacham District Richland - Mr. and Mrs. Ethel Orton were called to Mexico last Saturday to attend the funeral of Mr. Orton's nephew, William Orton, who was the son of Ira Orton of Richland.

      Newspaper Obituary - August 6, 1909 Oswego Palladium - Died From Arsenical Poisoning. - Coroner Vowinkel was called to Mexico this morning to investigate the sudden death of William H. Orton, forty-six years old, who lived about four miles outside the village. Mr. Orton was taken with convulsions yesterday afternoon and died before medical aid could reach him. The Coroner learned that he had been acting queerly of late, like one partially demented, and had got hold of some arsenic, which he had been using since last Monday. His behavior and symptoms described by the family, indicated arsenical poisoning, and the Coroner so decided.
