- Robert Phillip Dillabough (Dilly Bob) 84, formerly of Ft Myers, Florida, passed away on July 24,2018. He was born March 19, 1934 to William and Alice (Walrath) Dillabough at Sandy Pond, New York.
He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1955, then entered reserve status for an additional four years. Bob retired from General Electric in 1981 after 25 years of service and moved to Florida where he was employed for 11 years with Lee County Electric. In the early 80’s he owned and operated the Tri-Dilly Inn (currently the world-famous Bert’s Bar) in Matlatcha, Fl.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory, one sister Christine (John) Rector and two brothers James (Marian) Dillabough and David (Sharon) Dillabough, many nephews and nieces, two step daughters Lynn Anderson, Angie Johns and many dear friends.
As Robert requested, there will be no calling hours or funeral.
Have a drink, make a toast, remember the fun times and smile…oh…and have another drink.
