- Ray A. Sweatland
CENTRAL SQUARE - Ray A. Sweatland, 67, a resident of South Main Street, died Thursday at his home following a brief illness.
Mr. Sweatland was a native of Westdale and had lived in Central Square more than 30 years. Prior to his retirement in 1975, he was a bus driver 28 years with Greyhound Bus Lines.
Mr. Sweatland was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Irene (Wart) Sweatland; two sons, Daniel of Brewerton and Douglas of Central Square; two daughters, Patricia Ann Williams of Brewerton and Mary Ann Sweatland of Central Square; a brother, Robert of Pulaski; a sister, Edna Wilcox of Sandy Creek; 10 grandchildren; and several nieces and nepehws.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday from the Watson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 206 S. Main
St.
