    • Newspaper Obituary - Gail Young - Gail B. Young, 84, of 96 W. River St., Wilkes-Barre, died Wednesday, July 23, 1986, in the Abington Memorial Hospital, Abington. Born in Plymouth, Feb. 27, 1902, he was the son of the late Arthur J. and May Gwilliam. He was employed as a former superintendent of the Wyoming Area School District. Mr. Young was a member of the First Christian Church of Plymouth and a former deacon and trustee of the church. He was also a member of the Salvation Army Advisory Board, the Wilkes-Barre Rotary Club, a past district governor of Rotary, the Wyoming Business Club, Lodge 61 F&AM and Irem Temple AAONMS. Surviving are his wife, the former Gladys Lewis; daughter, Mrs. Marilyn Young Messerschmidt, Hatboro; two grandchildren; brother, Dr. Hamilton R. Young, St. Louis. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. from the M.S. Frederick & Sons Funeral Home, 617 Carey Ave., Wilkes-Barre, with the Rev. Alan Bone of the First Christian Church of Plymouth officiating. Interment will be in Mount Greenwood Cemetery, Shavertown. Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
