      Services for Elsie K. Janacek, 88, of Pine Meadows Road, who died Sunday at Hillcrest Nursing Home, Oswego, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Pine Meadows Wesleyan Church. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Altmar.

      Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 7385 Park St.

      A native of Nebraska, Mrs. Janacek lived in Orwell since 1920. She and her husband were the owners and operators for 60 years of a dairy farm and sawmill on Pine Meadows Road. Mrs. Janacek also was employed from 1957 to 1973 with Evergreen Nursing Home, Williamstown. Her husband, Joseph, died in 1982.

      Mrs. Janacek was a member of Pine Meadows Wesleyan Church.

      Surviving are three sons, Raymond F. of West Monroe, Joseph V. of East Syracuse and Roland H. of Sandy Creek; four daughters, Sylvia Candel of North Branch, Mich., L. Merlin Kaine and Dolores Hall, both of Altmar, and Irene Greenfield of Orwell; five sisters, Josephine Engle of Lake Andes, S.D., Helen Carroll of Pocatello, Idaho, Lucy Gee and Genevieve Harmon, both of Lake Worth, Fla., and Bernadine Kmiec of Des Plaines, Ill.; 29 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
