Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, December 29, 1949 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Orla Reynolds Dies at Richland - Orla B. Reynolds, 48, died at his home in Richland very suddenly last Wednesday evening about 9 p.m. He had suffered a heart ailment for some time and after the evening meal, retired to the bedroom, complaining of not feeling well. When called a few hours later, it was found he had expired in his sleep. Funeral services were held from his late home in Richland, Saturday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Ray Williams of North Syracuse officiating Burial was made in Richland cemetery. Surviving besides his wife, Mrs. Gladys Reynolds, are five daughters, Mary, Elsie, Ruth, Jane and Susan; six sons, Orla, Jr., William, Fred, Richard, Joseph and Frank; his mother, Mrs. Flora Wilcox Reynolds; and one brother, Chauncey, all of Richland; and four sisters, Mrs. Iva Eggsware, Ellenburg Center; Mrs. Grace Johnson, Spencetport; Mrs. Cora Morrison, North Syracuse; Mrs. Ann Nitch, Syracuse. Mr. Reynolds was born in the town of Richland, April 21, 1901, the son of Charles and Flora Wilcox Reynolds, and had always lived in Richland and vicinity. He was employed by the New York Central Railroad as a section hand, a position he had held since he finished school.
