    • Obituary of Kathryn Potter

      Kathryn Potter, age 83, life resident of Orwell, passed away Tuesday at Francis House in Syracuse. Kathryn was born October 20, 1934 in Orwell the daughter of William and Bertha Graham Garvin. She graduated from Sandy Creek High School in 1952. Kathryn was married to Albert “Bud” Potter on July 6, 1952 for 58 years. He passed away July 16, 2010. She was employed by Oswego County Motor Vehicles for 14 years, retiring in 1991. She had previously been employed as a teaching assistant at Orwell Elementary School for nine years. Kathryn was a member of the Orwell Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and she attended the Orwell United Methodist Church.

      Surviving are two sons, William G. Potter of Orwell and L. John Potter of Parish, one daughter, Laurette J. Potter of Pulaski, two brothers, William Garvin of Orwell and Roger Garvin of Richland, two sisters, Elaine Caster of Richland and Dolores Reese of Lakeland, FL, ten grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandsons.

      Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, October 5th, at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home
