Eben J. Forbes, 20, of Richland was pronounced dead on. arrival at Oswego Hospital from injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident on Monday evening, July 14. Pulaski State Police said the Oswego county, coroner ruled death due to massive head injuries. Troopers said Mr. Forbes
negotiated a curve on the North Fernwood Road, one tenth of a mile south of County Route 28 in the Town of Richland, then crossed the center line and ran off the road, striking guardrails.
The motorcycle continued down an embankment, troopers said, and struck several small trees.
Troopers blamed the crash on driver inexperience. The vehicle was owned by Donald C. Calvin, Richland, troopers said.
Born March .7, 1955 in Oswego, he was the. son of Eben A. and Nancy Yerdon Forbes. He graduated from Pulaski Academy and Central School in 1973, and Mohawk Community College
in June. He was active in high school sports and was a member of the Corner's Restaurant softball team. He was employed by the Arthur Hilliker electrical firm. Besides his parents, he is survived by two s'isters, Patricia A. and Linda S., both at home, and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.
Sterling Yerdon of Richfield. Funeralservices were held on Thursday, July 17 at 1p.m. at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski with the Rev.Richard A. Clay officiating. Burial was in Pulaski
Cemetery.
