    • Mr. Merle Lewis Anson, age 68, Of Lake City, Columbia, Florida died Friday evening, July 22, 2005 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Gainesville, Alachua, Florida. He had moved to Lake City in 1990 from Lawtey, Bradford, FL. He was a veteran of the USAF and enjoyed growing plants in his nursery. Mr. Anson was preceded in death by a brother, Clifford Anson; and a daughter, Debbie Anson. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Alma Anson; 4 sons, Jimmy (Paula) Anson of Butler, TN, Daniel and Christopher Anson, both of Shallotte, N.C. and Scott Anson of Lake City, Fl.; 4 daughters: Candice (Charley) Krummel of Lakeland, FL.; Christina (Lee) Johnson and Leanna Tillman, both of Shallotte, N.C. and September Anson of West Virginia: one brother, Carl Anson(Mary) of Altmar, N.Y., ; 3 sisters: Linda (David) Armstrong of Altmar, N.Y., Vera (Felton) Rhoden of Macclenny, FL. and Pat (Ronnie) Ellison of Ormond Beach, FL. This obituary appeared in the July 27, 2005 edition of the Lake City Reporter Newspaper.
