- PULASKI - Lynda Purdy, 63, Pulaski, formerly of Walden, died Wednesday at her home, where she was under the care of her family and Oswego County Hospice. She had resided in Pulaski for 24 years.
Mrs. Purdy was a waitress in several Pulaski restaurants, retiring because of illness.
Born Oct. 10, 1945, in Washington, D.C., daughter of James and Dorothy Haywood Fitzmaurice, she lived in Walden before moving to Pulaski in 1985.
Two marriages ended in divorce.
Surviving are two sons and their wives, Lawrence and Lori Lawless, Walden, and James and Nicole Purdy, Pulaski; two daughters and their husbands, Janet and Neal Smith, Boylston, and Dorothy and Thomas Nunez, Orwell; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Paula and William Vandermark, Accord, Myrna and George Figs, Florida, and Lenora Fitzmaurice, California; a brother, John Fitzmaurice, Texas, 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A sister, Debra Deavor, died before her.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Summerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek, with the Rev. Scott R. Hardy officiating. Calling hours will be 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
