    • Hattie R. Stewart was the wife Charles W. Brown (1851-1902)and mother of their only child Rachael D. (Brown) Scriven (1886-1941) who is also buried in this plot. Hattie was Mother-in-Law of Rachael's first husband Granville Hiram Brown (1877-1924) and Rachael's second husband Jessie E. Scriven (1881-1944). Granville is buried in this "Brown" family plot beside Rachael, her grave stone referring to her as "his wife" although her surname is stated as "Scriven." Jessie E. Scriven is buried with his parents and family in the adjacent "Pleasant Valley" Cemetery to the north. Hattie was grandmother to Harriet Marbra Brown (1917-1984), Rachael and Granville's only child. Rachael had no children with Jessie. After the 1902 death of her husband Charles, the US census indicates Hattie lived with her daughter Rachael in the City of Troy NY. Following Rachael's marriage to Granville Brown in 1910, the census indicates she lived with them on Granville's Wynantskill NY farm, probably until her death in 1923.
