Charles Babcock, age 91, life resident of Altmar, passed away Thursday at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse. Charles was born March 31, 1924 in Altmar, the son of Henry and Elsie Freeman Babcock. He attended Altmar High School and served in the United States Navy from 1942 until 1962. He was employed as a maintenance electrician for St. Joseph's Hospital for 15 years.
Surviving are three sons, William Babcock of Syracuse and Richard and Thomas Babcock, both of Altmar; two daughters, Cynthia Valenzuela of Denver, NC and Patricia Cameron of Spokane, WA; one brother, James Babcock of Lacona; 22 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m., Monday, September 21, at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Altmar. Calling hours will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. prior to the service.
