- Obituary of Lorraine Wood
Lorraine F. Wood, age 87, resident of South Sandy Pond, Sandy Creek since 1965, formerly of Syracuse, passed away Sunday at St. Luke’s Nursing Home in Oswego. Lorraine was born September 3, 1931 in Syracuse, the daughter of Robert and Irene Ehegartner McElroy. She attended St. John’s School in Syracuse. Lorraine married William G. Wood on September 11, 1948. She was a member of Christ Our Light Catholic Church in Pulaski.
Surviving are her husband, William, two sons, Richard (Judy Hanks) of Pulaski, George (Laurie) Wood of Pulaski, one sister, Marilyn Holland of Syracuse and one brother, Larry McElroy of Illinois, seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one sister, Terry McElroy.
A funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, November 15th at Christ Our Light Parish, 23 Niagara Street, Pulaski, with burial in Pulaski Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski, NY 13142.
