    • Mrs. Robert Ridgeway Dies in Sandy Creek

      The death of Mrs. Edith Shepard Ridgeway, 77, wife of Robert B. Ridgeway, occurred just after midnight, May 29, 1952 at their home on Fairground Street, Sandy Creek after an illness of two years. Her funeral is to be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Weston and Woodard funeral parlor, Rev. Winton Halsted, pastor of Sandy Creek Methodist church, officiating. Burial will be in Wesleyan cemetery, east of Lacona. Friends may call at the funeral parlor Saturday evening.

      Mrs. Ridgeway was born January 1, 1875 in Ithaca, her parents having been William and Hattie Shepard of Ithaca. Her early life was spent in Interlaken and Ithaca and she attended schools there. April 26, 1893 she was married at Interlaken to Luther Daniel Misher of that place. His death occurred January 19, 1905.

      Surviving Relatives

      On June 4, 1906 she was married to Robert B. Ridgeway of Lacona, who survives her. Also surviving are three children by the first marriage, Mrs. Charles (Grace) Jennings of Syracuse; George Mizener of Lacona and Walter Mizener of Waterville; three children of the second marriage, Mrs. Thorleif (Edith) Ormasen, Lacona; Rev. Luther Ridgeway, Rush, N.Y. and Mrs. Orman (Vivian) Slater of Lacona; 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
