    • Newspaper Obituary - August 28, 1944 Wilkes-Barre Record - Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania - MARY SCARF KENNEDY - Mrs. Mary Scarf Kennedy, well known resident of Larksville, died at 10 last night in Wilkes-Barre Mercy Hospital following a few weeks illness. Mrs. Kennedy was a devout member of St. Ignatius's Church, Kingston, and was affiliated with the various women's societies of the parish. Surviving are these children, John Scarf, Forty Fort; Mrs. John Tobin and William Kennedy, Hanover Township, and Jean Kennedy, Larksville; a sister, Mrs. Thomas Byrne, Bloomfield, N.J., and a brother, Patrick Loftus of Jersey City. The body was removed to the Maher Funeral Home, 360 North Maple Street, Kingston, from where the funeral will be held.
