- Newspaper Obituary - Saturday, February 6, 1999 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Cora Maitland Homemaker - Cora M. Maitland, 85, of 627 Canning Factory Road, died Friday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse. A homemaker, she was a life resident of the Pulaski and Richland areas. Born March 27, 1913, in the town of Albion, daughter of George and Elnora Richardson Mason, she attended Dugway and Altmar schools. She married Ralph E. Maitland Sr. on May 14, 1930. Mr. Maitland, who owned and operated a dairy farm in Richland for many years, died November 29, 1984. Surviving are three sons, Richard J., Conway, South Carolina, David L., Oswego, and William R., Richland; three daughters, Nancy A. Adams, Parish, Susan J. Denny, Richland, and Betty E. Britton, Pulaski; a sister, Frieda Akins, North Rose; 24 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A son, Ralph E. Maitland Jr., died July 12, 1980. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, with the Rev. Elizabeth Mowry, pastor of Park United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Richland Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
