- Florence Hilton of Pulaski dies
Florence E. Hilton, 83, of 7578 Jefferson St., Pulaski passed away on Sunday, February 16 at the Har-Wood Nursing Home, Oswego.
She was born on October 15, 1891 in Jefferson County, the daughter of Elias and Eva Graves Spicer. She attended Adams District Schools and later married William Hilton in 1914. The couple operated a farm in the Halsey District in the Town of Richland before they moved to Pulaski in 1936 where they since resided. Mr. Hilton died in 1952.
Mrs. Hilton was employed at Jack's Restaurant, Pulaski for many years. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Corleen Wilbur of Utica; one stepson, Robert Hilton of Syracuse; seven grandchildren; several greatgrandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Hilton's two other daughters, Mrs. Frieda Crouse and Mrs. Eva Green, both of Pulaski, had passed away in 1967 and 1974 respectfully.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, February 18 at 2 p.m. at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski with the Rev. Jerry Miller officiating.
Spring burial to be held in Pulaski Cemetery.
