- Newspaper Obituary - September 17, 1970 Mexico Independent - Ralph B. Russell - Ralph B. Russell, 62, of RD 3 Central Square, died Wednesday evening, September 9, 1970 at Crouse-Irving Memorial Hospital in Syracuse after a short illness. He was a native of the Town of Albion, and lived in Central Square for the past 29 years. He was employed as railroad conductor for the Penn Central Railroad and was a member of the Oneida Transportation Union, Local 213, of Syracuse; and a member of the Caughdenoy Methodist Church. Surviving are two sons, Donald Russell of Central Square and Roger Russell of Constantia; three daughters, Mrs. James (Betty) Sweeting and Mrs. Joseph (Joyce) Barone of Central Square; and Mrs. Michael (Marlene) Moran of Cicero; two brothers, Jack Russell of Long Beach, Calif.; and Holley Russell of Maitland, Fla; 16 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, Septermber 13th from the Caughdenoy Methodist Church, with Layman Robert Greene, officiating. Burial was in Caughdenoy cemetery. Calling hours were at the Watson Funeral Home, 206 South Main St., Central Square. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
