      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, May 30, 1889 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Died - In this village, May 22d, 1889, Sarah C., wife of Charles Wesley Woods, aged 63 years. Mrs. Woods was born in Washington County in this State. She was the eldest daughter of Allen and Maria Prouty, coming to this town with her parents when she was ten years of age, where she has since resided. She had been married over forty years, and her life has been one almost exclusively devoted to her children and her home interests. She was a lady of rare gentleness of disposition, and a true wife and mother. Her husband and seven children survive her, all of whom will ever hold her in tender and loving remembrance. The children surviving are: Mrs. Ellsworth, of Woodville, New York, Charles F. and William M. Woods, of Pulaski, Mrs. Kate Ludington, of Parish, Mrs. Helen Lawler, of this village, Dean E. Woods, of Coeyman, and the youngest, Miss Hattie Woods. The funeral was held on Saturday, Rev. A. H. Post, officiating.
