  • Notes 
    • Carl's service is documented in the Orwell Veterans book. He was in the South Pacific in the Army Air force. He was in Hawaii after Pearl Harbor in December 1941. While there in the months after the attack he was assigned to repair work. Carl recalls that his crew was sent around to patch craters in the roads and even do some repair work on the Hotels to make them safe. He later was sent to Kwajeleen, on the Marshall Islands. After the war he worked in the Orberdorfer Foundry in Syracuse. Carl and his wife the former Carol Ladd lived nearly 40 years on West Bank Dr. in Redfield. Following Carol's death he moved to Springbrook Apartments in Pulaski where he died in 2012.
