Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, November 19, 1942 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Services in Syracuse for Mrs. H. Porter - Word was received here last week of the death of Mrs. Harriet Belle Woods Porter who died Friday night, November 6 in Syracuse. Funeral services were held in Syracuse Monday afternoon at the funeral home of Fairchild and Meech. Burial was made in Pulaski with Paul K. Foster officiating. Mrs. Porter was the widow of John R. Porter, former well-known undertaker in the village of Mexico. She was born October 18. 1871 in the village of Pulaski, the daughter of the late Charles Wesley Woods and Sarah Prouty Woods and spent her early life here. Following her marriage she made her home in Mexico for many years. She moved to Syracuse about 15 years ago. She is the last of a family of ten but is survived by several nieces and nephews.
