Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, February 12, 1948 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Benjamin Wood, 78, Dies Unexpectedly - Benjamin Wood, 78, died Thursday morning at his home on Glen avenue. Although he had been in failing health for some time, death came very unexpectedly. Funeral services were held from his late home at 2 p.m. Sunday, with the Rev. James N. Pauley, pastor of the Pulaski Methodist church officiating. Interment was made in Pulaski cemetery. Mr. Wood was born in Pulaski, July 5, 1869. He received his early education in Pulaski schools and for a number of years was in the employ of the New York Central railroad. Later he conducted a restaurant and service station in Newark, after which he retired about seven years ago and has made his home in Pulaski since. He is survived by his wife, Florence A. Wood; two half-sisters, Mrs. Charles Trumbull, Pulaski, and Mrs. Helen Davidson, Syracuse. He also has one half-brother, George Harvey, Florida.
