- August 26, 1893 - Julia A. McCarthy, age 73 years, born in New York, Resident of Richland Township for 44 years, Daughter of Elisha and Susan Holdridge, died in Pulaski of fatty degeneration of the heart.
Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, August 31, 1893 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Died - In Pulaski, New York, August 26th, 1893, very suddenly, Julia A., wife of John T. McCarty, Esq., aged 73 years, 7 months. Mrs. McCarty was born at Rhinebeck, New York. For fifty-four years she has lived in happy union with her husband, and for forty-four years of that time in Pulaski. A sister, Mrs. John Wood, of Sterling, Illinois, and two sons, Frank, of Pulaski, and William, of Arkansas, also survive her. The death of Mrs. McCarty falls with crushing effect upon the aged husband, who is in feeble health. Deceased was for many years an active and devout member of St. James church. The rector, Rev. Robert Paul conducted the services at the late residence of the deceased yesterday, Tuesday, at 10 o'clock a.m.
