      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, November 19, 1970 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Alexander Babcock Funeral Here Monday - A requiem mass was celebrated Monday, November 16 at St. John the Evangelist Church for Alexander L. Babcock, 66, of Fulton who died unexpectedly Friday, November 13 at Lee Memorial Hospital, Fulton. The Rev. Thomas P. Whalen officiated. The mass followed a prayer service held at the Taylor-Vida Funeral Home. Burial was in Pulaski Cemetery. Born January 11, 1904, at Redfield, he was a son of Charles and Julia Bovay Babcock and attended school in Pulaski. He moved to Syracuse as a young man, going to Fulton about 10 years ago where he has since made his home with a sister, Mrs. Frances Holden. He was employed as a metal worker at Lennox Metal Industries. Surviving are five brothers, Andrew Babcock of Pulaski, Clarence Babcock and Elmer Babcock, both of East Syracuse, Roy Babcock and Lyle Babcock, Syracuse; two sisters, Mrs. Floyd (Mattie) Harmon of Liverpool and Mrs. Holden; many nephews, nieces and cousins.
