Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, March 9, 1932 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Remains of John R. Porter Brought Here for Burial - The remains of John R. Porter who died at his home at 133 Furman street. Syracuse, last Wednesday morning, were brought here Friday for burial in Pulaski cemetery. Rev. Lowell H. Palmer, pastor of the Congregational church officiated at the committal service. Mr. Porter was born in Fernwood May 16, 1865, the son of Samuel and Emeline Grey Porter. As a young man he worked for W. H. Penfield then of Modco, and later acquired the Penfield business upon the death of Mr. Penfield. This business he conducted until 1921. In 1895 he married Harriet Woods, who is his only survivor.
