Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, August 7, 1958 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Cecil Peterson Dies Suddenly - Cecil Peterson, 60, died Saturday morning at St. Joseph's hospital in Syracuse where he had been a patient only a few hours. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Taylor Funeral Home with the Rev. W. Russell Clark, pastor of the Park Methodist Church officiating. Interment was in Pulaski Cemetery. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Nellie O'Brien Peterson; his father, Charles Peterson of Texas, New York; two sons, Vernon Peterson of Seber Shores and Cecil Peterson of Lakeland, Florida; three daughters, Mrs. Margaret Davey of Minetto. Mrs. Elizabeth Lawrence of Pulaski and Mrs. Viola Kennison of Richland; two brothers, Charles Peterson and Ceylon Peterson both of Mexico; six sisters, Mrs. Gladys Daniels of Texas, Mrs. Lydia VanCise, Mrs. Irene Preman, Mrs. Opal Briggs and Mrs. Javena Hutchinson all of Mexico and Mrs. Bernice Spicer of Mayville; and 17 grandchildren. Mr. Peterson was born February 22nd 1898, at Mayville and was the son of Charles and Anne Bacon Peterson. He had resided in Pulaski for many years and was an employee of the New York Central Railroad until his retirement in 1951. Since that time he and Mrs. Peterson had spent their winters in Florida. He was an attendant of Park Methodist Church and was married to Miss Nellie O'Brien September 20, 1919, in the Pulaski Methodist Church.
