      Obituary of Jerry Higby

      Jerry F. Higby, age 77, life resident of Pulaski, passed away Thursday at the VA Medical Center in Syracuse. Jerry was born March 8, 1941 in Lowville, the son of Willis and Dorothy Hill Higby. He graduated from Pulaski High School in 1959 and Morrisville College in 1961. He served in the United States Air Force from 1962 until 1966. Jerry was married to Gloria Ann Bouchard on August 23, 1971. He was employed by Schoeller Technical Papers. He was previously employed by Miller Brewery for 18 years, from 1977 until 1995. He had also been employed by GE in Syracuse. Jerry was a member of the Woodworkers Association in Syracuse.

      Surviving are his wife, Gloria, children, Jennifer (Evan) Lynch of Pulaski, Jerry (Angela) Higby of Fort Myers, FL, Daniel (Suzanne) Higby of Fort Myers, FL, and Sheldon (Nicole) Higby of Pulaski, nine grandchildren, Dylan Smith, Noah Smith, William Higby, Isabella Higby, Hannah Higby, Alexander Higby, Finian Higby, Orrin Higby and Prairie Higby, three brothers, John (Carolyn) Higby of Oswego, Adelbert Higby of Pulaski and Douglas (Claudia) Higby of Pulaski, three sisters, Sandra Tidwell of Pulaski, Janet (Steven) Banks of Boonville, and Mary (Kenneth) Staffan of Fairport. Jerry was predeceased by two brothers, James and Willard Higby.

      A memorial service will be held 5 p.m. Monday, February 18th at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski burial at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Monday, prior to the service.
