- April 1, 2008 Vera Mae Nessmiller, 77, of Central Square, died Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at Francis House, Syracuse. She was a native and life resident of Central Square. She was a Monitor at P.V. Moore High School, Central Square, for nine years and had worked at Pico Products in Liverpool. She was a member of Central Square Community Church, Central Square Lioness Club and the Fuller Taylor American Legion Post #915 Auxiliary, Central Square. Vera was predeceased by her husband, Melvin, and three brothers, William, Warren and David Clark. Surviving are a daughter, Sandra (Tom) Pickard of Central Square; a son, Neil (Linda) Nessmiller of Rockhill, SC; a sister, Ginny Ladd of Central Square; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2008, at Central Square Community Church, Rte. 11, North, Central Square, with burial in Hillside Cemetery, Central Square. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at WATSON FUNERAL HOME, INC., 631 S. Main St., Central Square. Contributions, in lieu of flowers, should be made to Francis House, 108 Michaels Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13208.
