    • Richard C. Skellington Obituary
      Richard C. Skellington, age 81, life resident of Altmar, passed away Wednesday at home, surrounded by his family. Richard was born December 11, 1943, in Altmar, the son of Richard E. and Laura Wheeler Skellington. He graduated from APW High School in 1962 and attended Morrisville College. Richard served in the United States Army from 1966 until 1968 during the Vietnam War. He was employed by International Wire for 32 years, retiring in 2015. He had also worked at Miller Brewery. Richard was a longtime active member of the Ricard Grange and owned a dairy farm on Wheeler Road for many years. He was also an avid Yankees fan.

      Surviving are his children, Rebecca (Ronald) DuPont of Altmar, Margret (Frank) Cronk of Pulaski, Angela (Carl) Bice of Altmar, and Richard Skellington, II, of Sandy Creek, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter, brother, Keith Skellington of Altmar and sister Bonnie Skellington of Rome, and many nieces and nephews. Richard was predeceased by his brother, Larry Skellington and sister, Linda Merritt.

      A memorial service will be held at noon, Friday, June 20th at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski with burial at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held from 10a.m. to noon prior to the service.
