George Leon DeBourney White, the first child of Amasa White, Jr. and Lydia
Abia Taylor was born October 10, 1860, in Lynn Township, Huron County, Ohio.
The marriage record for George shows that he was from Weston, Wood County,
Ohio. Around 1892, George White traveled on the narrow gauge to Florida with a
"Magic Lantern show". We know that he was in Cedar Keys, Florida on April 27,
1893. George Leon DeBourney White died January 1, 1917, at Morrison, Route 3,
Coffee County, Tennessee, and is buried at Shady Grove cemetery. Morrison is
in Warren County, Tennessee, but their home was in Coffee County.
George Leon White was living in Wood County, Ohio, when he left for Blackburn
College at Carlinville, Macoupin County, Illinois. His marriage certificate,
dated June 19, 1888, lists Weston, Wood County, Ohio, as his home. The
information following comes from an old family Bible published April 28, 1885,
containing the KJV of 1611 and the Revised Version of 1881.
