- Newspaper Obituary - March 8, 2005 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - DONALD F. ROW - ROLLWAY BEARING RETIREE - Donald F. Row, 85, of 46 Salina St., died Sunday in Oswego Hospital. Mr. Row lived in Fernwood for 32 years and moved to Lacona in 1979. He was employed by Rollway Bearing Corp., Syracuse, for 19 years, retiring in 1985. He also had worked for Sealright Co. Inc. and the Nestle Co. Inc., both in Fulton, for many years. He was a member of Sandy Creek United Methodist Church and a former member of Fernwood Grange and Pulaski Masonic Lodge 415. Born Aug. 8, 1919, in Ellington, son of Glen and Anna Delong Row, he graduated in 1938 from Mexico Academy. He served in the Army from 1941 to 1945 with the 2nd Armored Division. He was wounded in France on June 20, 1944, and received a Purple Heart. A marriage ended in divorce. Surviving are two daughters, Shirley North, Pulaski, and Brenda Degone, Mexico; a brother, Gerald, Wolfeboro, N.H.; a sister, Margaret Wright, Brandon, Fla., and four grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Aug. 8 at Sandy Creek United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Primitive Cemetery, Mexico. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski. Donations may be made to Primitive Cemetery, 285 Fort Leazier Road, Mexico, N.Y. 13114, in care of Mary Ann Merrill.

He was born August 8, 1919, in Ellington, NY, the son of Glen and Anna Delong Row. He resided in Fernwood for 32 years, moving to Lacona in 1979. He graduated from Mexico Academy High School in 1938 and served in the U.S. Army from 1941-45. He was employed by Rollway Bearing in Syracuse for 19 years, retiring in 1985. He was also employed by Seal Right and Nestle's, both in Fulton, for many years. He was a member of Sandy Creek Methodist Church, former member of Fernwood Grange, former member of Pulaski Masonic Lodge #415 F&AM. Survived by two daughters, Shirley North of Pulaski, Brenda Degone of Mexico; one brother, Gerald Row of Wolfeboro, NH; one sister, Margaret Wright of Brandon, FL; four grandchildren. A Memorial service will be held 10 a.m. August 8 at Sandy Creek Methodist Church. Burial will be in Primitive Cemetery, Mexico. No calling hours.
