- Elsie married her grandfather's brother, Isarel Lamica's son, Herbert Lamica. They had 10 children of which two children died as infants. Elsie and "Herbie" lived on Lower Park Street and owned their own home next to the Salmon River.
Elsie and Herbie's family were a very close family and looked out for one another. Even though Elsie had a large family and struggled all their lives to feed and clothe their children, they "took in" several of Elsie's brothers and/or their children when they needed assistance in their survival. If a family member came to their home hungry, Elsie and Herbie made sure they got something to eat.
Elsie was left alone with her children when Herbie passed away of a heart attack at age 46.She remained at her home on Lower Park Street and continued on her own to raise the remaining children living at home. She sold her home in the early to mid 1960's to Glody LaMondie and his girl friend, Etta McLaughlin. Two of Elsie's sons, Kenneth and Douglas married two of Etta's daughters. AfterGlody passed away in 1971, Elsie's son Douglas, re-purchased the home from Etta. He rented it to his mother Elsie, where she and her daughter, Charleneresided.
Elsie's health deteriated and she passed away in January of 2001. Her daughter continues to rent the home from her brother, Douglas, who lives in Massachusetts.
