- Donna M Jones, 62, of Liverpool, NY, passed away unexpectedly Saturday July 4, 2015 at her home.
She was born January 19, 1953 in Tupper Lake, NY, to Donald Jones and Hatsumi Ogura, the second of their three children.
She was a graduate of John C. Birdlebough High School in Phoenix, NY. She earned an associate's degree later in life from Bryant and Stratton College.
She worked in many fields during her lifetime, most recently as a customer service rep booking medical transportation appointments. She is remembered fondly by her coworkers.
She was an avid sewer and loved to create articles of clothing, blankets and other useful items. She enjoyed watching sewing shows for tips and ideas. Her other love was her granddaughter, Sakura, her little princess. Oba was a great playmate and loved to spoil her princess every chance she had. She often combined her 2 loves to create items, most recently an Elsa (Frozen) costume as a Christmas present.
She is survived by her only son, Jermy Ryder, her daughter-in-law Lisa, her granddaughter Sakura, her mother Hatsumi Dam, her sister Mary Martin, her brother Don Jones and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hour will be Tuesday July 14, 2015 from 4-5 pm at Traub Funeral Home in Central Square, NY. A short celebration of life will follow. A private burial is planned for later in the year at St. Mary's cemetary in Tupper Lake, NY.
