- May 9, 2008 Ruth V. Webb 85, of Williamstown, died May 9, 2008. She was born October 5, 1922, in Williamstown, NY, a daughter of Anson and Mary Miller Oyer. Ruth retired from Laribee Wire Co. after many years of service. She was a proud two-time win-ner of "Ms. Redfield" and was a member of Abundant Life Community Church. Surviving are two daughters, Corienne Tilton of McConnellsville and Mary and Chuck Carty of Amboy; two sons, Erwin "Skip" and Dixie Webb Jr. of Redfield and Leonard and Pauline Webb of Williamstown; two daughters-in-law, Dale Webb of Chittenango and Bonnie Webb of Panther Lake; two sisters, Julia Britton and Verna Britton of Williamstown; 20 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Terri Schekman of Virginia. Besides her husband Erwin Webb Sr., she was predeceased by two sons, David "Bill" and DeEarl "Sam" Webb; two sisters, Mary Matteson and Celia Britton; and five brothers, Norman, Ezra, Hugh, George and Beardsley Oyer. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday from LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., Camden, NY. Interment: Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, 109 Main Street. Memorial contributions may be made to the Abundant Life Community Church, Camden, New York.
