Margaret D. Marshall Obituary
MUNNSVILLE >> Margaret D. Marshall (Peggy), age 81, a 60 year resident of Munnsville passed away early Saturday morning April 1, 2017 in the extended care facility with her loving family at her side.
She was born on Sept. 4, 1935 in Oneida, N.Y. a daughter of the late Lyle and Olive (Griff) Dorn and was a graduate of Oneida High School and Russell Sage College.
On July 27, 1957 Margaret and Frederick W. Marshall were united in marriage in the Oneida Presbyterian Church and shared that vow of over 36 years together until Frederick's death on Aug. 23, 1993.
Prior to her retirement Margaret was the co-proprietor of Country Loft Antiques in Oneida with her dear friend Carol Johnson.
Margaret was a member and past president of the Women of The Rotary, a member of the Columbian Club of Oneida and a member of the Stockbridge United Methodist Church. She was also an Honorary Empire Degree Holder of the NYS FFA Association.
Surviving are three sons, Fred Marshall of Munnsville, Ronald (Holly) Marshall of Munnsville, Craig (Sue) Marshall of Munnsville; one daughter, Karen (Joe) Galbraith of Lyons; 10 grandchildren, Jake (Michelle) Hillenbrand, Bradley, Breanna, Craig, Allen, Cassie and Olivia Marshall, Margaret ""Meghan,"" Anne and Laura Galbraith; one great-granddaughter, Jocelyn Hillenbrand and a special friend, Carol Johnson of Oneida.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 464 Sherrill Road, Sherrill, N.Y. Margaret's funeral service will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. in the Stockbridge United Methodist Church, Route 46, Munnsville, N.Y. Burial will follow in Stockbridge Valley Cemetery, Stockbridge, N.Y. In memory of Margaret donations may be sent the Stockbridge Valley Central School FFA, P.O.
