    • Newspaper Obituary - Saturday, April 23, 1927 Auburn Citizen - Mrs. Charles Horr, Sr. Dies - The death of Mrs. Charles Horr, Sr., occurred suddenly at the family home on the Centerport Road in the Town of Mentz at 9:30 this morning. She had been in her usual health and performed her usual household duties yesterday as well as ever. Late last evening she suffered a severe attack of indigestion causing her considerable pain and a physician was immediately summoned. He worked over her for sometime, finally succeeded in relieving her suffering to the extent that it was thought she was out of danger but another attack this morning proved fatal before medical aid could be summoned. Mrs. Horr has been a resident of that section for about 11 years and was very highly respected by all who knew her and he untimely death will be keenly felt by many outside her family circle. She is survived by her husband, five daughters, Mrs. James Eastman, Mrs. Harry Reppard of this city, Mrs. James McFarren of Throop, Mrs. Frank Plantz of Lacono and Miss Alice Horr of Throop; three sons, Charles and Frederick of Auburn, Laverne of Throop and one brother, George Sackett of Port Byron. The funeral services will take place at the house Tuesday afternoon at 2:30. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.
