- Cora M. Smith, 77, of Gansvoort St., Fulton, NY, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2006, at her residence. Cora was born in Fulton on July 8, 1929, the daughter of Orvis and Myrtle DeMott. She was employed for several years at GE in Syracuse and then was manager of the Wagon Wheel Bar and restaurant in Fulton until retirement. Surviving are three sons, Ronald Smith of Calif., T.J. (Sue) Jardin of Fulton, Patrick Michael Smith of Fulton; five brothers, Robert DeMott of Hannibal, Charles (Linda) DeMott of Baldwinsville, John (Kaye) DeMott of Albany, Frank DeMott of Fulton, Sam (Tina) DeMott of Hannibal; four sisters, Kathy (Dan) LaBeef of Hannibal, Margaret Manford of Fulton, Sandi DeMott of Fulton, Christine (Lester) Price of Volney; five grandchildren, Denise Smith of Oswego, Michael W. (Kim) Smith of Fulton, Cory Jardin of Fulton, Austin Smith of Georgia, Alex Smith of Georgia; great-grandchild, Hailey Jade Smith; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great- nephews. Mrs. Smith was predeceased by her husband, Gilbert B. Smith, in 1974; one sister, Ruth Gibbons; and one brother, Carl DeMott. There will be no calling hours. Private service at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at the Fairdale Cemetery in Fairdale, New York. Arrangements in care of the Young & Son Funeral Home, 322 Oneida St., Fulton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Oswego County Humane Society, 157 E. 1st Street, Oswego, NY 13126, in memory of Mrs. Smith.
