February 20, 2008 William J. "Bill" Scott, 52, a life resident of Altmar, died Wednesday at his home. He was born March 28, 1955, in Syracuse, the son of James M. and Mary Alice Sampson Scott. He graduated from APW High School in 1973. He was employed by the Albion Town Highway Dept. for the past 14 years. He was also employed by Franklyn Sampson Farms for 20 years. Bill was a former member of the Altmar Fire Dept. Surviving: his daughter, Jennifer M. Scott of Pulaski; his companion, Sue Graham; one brother, Frank F. (Debbie) Scott, all of Altmar; three sisters, Mary A. Scott of Pulaski, Caroline J. (Bruce) Sherman of Virginia Beach, VA, Nan (Bill) Aliff of Hastings; one uncle, Franklyn Sampson of Altmar; four grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski, with a springtime burial in Riverside Cemetery, Altmar. Calling hours will be held 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Donations can be made to NOCA, Delano St., Pulaski, NY 13142.
