Alfred Ellis Loucks Jr., 67, a resident of the Beaverton community died Wednesday January 10, 2007 at Providence St Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR
Alfred was born on September 10, 1939 in Pulaski, NY He was the oldest of nine children born to Alfred and Opal (Veal) Loucks. He was raised and received his education in Pulaski and was a graduate from Pulaski High School in 1953.
He was united in marriage to Nancy Bulteri on October 16, 1965 in Syracuse NY where they made their home until 1973 when they moved to Vancouver, WA. They divorced in 1991. Alfred then moved to the Portland, area and settled in Beaverton in 2002. He was united in marriage to Asha “Mai” (Nappakoon) on March 11, 2002 in Palm Springs, CA. They have lived in Beaverton since.
Alfred was a millwright and worked for the steel industry. He retired in 2002. Among his interest he enjoyed fixing cars and restoring them. He took his children out camping and enjoyed collecting Lionel Train sets. He is preceded in death by his parents
Survivors include his wife; Mai of Aloha, OR., his children and their spouses; Beth and Brad Oberg of Vancouver, WA., Kevin Loucks and his companion Martina Bell both of Portland, OR, Eric and Lisa Loucks of Camas, WA., four grandchildren; Brianna, Nathan, Emma and Spencer. Eight siblings; Sandra Cower of Palm Springs CA., Howard Loucks of Sherwood OR, David Loucks of Beaverton OR, Diane Lunenberg of Newberg OR, Eugene Loucks of Lancaster PA, Karen Torihara of Salem OR. Brian Loucks of Portland OR, James Loucks of Clackamas OR. And lots of nieces and nephews.
The family suggests donations placed in Alfred’s name to Providence St. Vincent Medical Center ICU/CRU Sunshine fund.Class of 1957 PACS
