She was predeceased by her husband, Howard Coates, he died in 1989. Also predeceased by a son-in-law, James Curtis. She is survived by a son, Howard (Patty) Coates, Clay, 3 daughters, Sandy Curtis, Fair Haven, NY, Emilie (Stan) Struthers, Old Town, FL, Sharon (Jose) Rocha, Round Rock, TX, her sister, Ruth Dingman, Albany, 14 grandchildren, many great and great great grandchildren. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 5-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse, with services to follow. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to American Cancer Society.
