      Herbert E. Miller, 91, of Lacona, passed away Sept. 22, 2015. He was born Sept. 18, 1924 in the Town of Albion. Son of the late Jullian and Beulah Claflin Miller. Graduated from Sandy Creek High School. Married for 50 years to the former Mary E. Gould, who passed away Sept. 27, 1994. He was a World War II U.S. Army Veteran. Retired printer and pressman for the former Corse-Press in Sandy Creek. Charter member of Cable Trail V.F.W. Post #8534 in Lacona and retired member of Sandy Creek Volunteer Fire Dept.

      Survived by 4 sons, Steve (Sherrie) Miller of Montana, Stan (Kim) Miller of Lacona, Allan (Penny) Miller of Pulaski, Tim (Linda) Miller of Washington State, and 1 daughter Lori (Kenney) LaRue of Sandy Creek, 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. A sister, Lillian Salley of Floriday, 2 brothers, Everett Miller of Sandy Creek, and Ralph Miller of Mannsville. He was predeceased by 2 brothers, Albert and Howard Miller and a sister, Naomi Donahue.

      A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Oct. 3 at the Sandy Creek Fire Hall starting at 12 noon. All family and friends are welcome. Arrangements by Summerville Funeral Home in Sandy Creek.
